FAQs
Thank you for reading through our website! We’ve detailed all necessary information to reduce questions so that we can focus on finalizing the big day details.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive around 4 PM - Our ceremony will start at 4:30 PM. The venue is 10 acres and there is a ~3 minute walk through the gardens to our ceremony space, so we strongly recommend you give yourself time to settle in.
How will rain affect the celebration?
We strongly suggest you check the weather forecast before leaving for the venue and plan accordingly. The venue is entirely outdoors and the ceremony will be uncovered, rain or shine! The reception dinner will be tented for comfort.
What type of food will be served at the wedding, and what if I have dietary restrictions?
We will be serving farm-to-table food at the cocktail hour and dinner reception. As many of our guests have “hot girl tummy issues” (dietary restrictions), there will be gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian accommodations. Please note your allergies or restrictions on your RSVP.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, drinks are on us all night! We will be offering wine, beer, and two signature cocktails. Coffee and tea will also be available.
Where are you registered?
Kindly refer to our “Registry”page on this site to view our gift and activity registries. If physical gifts aren’t your style, we also have a travel registry to contribute to our honeymoon activities. We understand wedding gifts can be a big expense and are completely optional - If you would like to write us a card instead/in addition to, there will be a card box at the venue entrance on June 6th.
Is the venue kid friendly?
Yes, there is even a playground. Please note, Briarwood Estate is a 10 acre garden, children must be supervised at all times. We will provide a kid-friendly environment (music & dancing) up until 8:30 PM.
Have you reserved room blocks at a nearby hotel?
Yes! We have reserved rooms at The Kulshan Hotel in Sedro Wooley, approximately 20 minutes from the venue. It is a modern, boutique hotel with complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, and a ready-to-use kitchenette in every room. See our Accommodations page for booking details and more information.
What if something comes up/plans change AFTER I have submitted my RSVP?
We understand things come up. Just email us right away at emilyzachgarner@outlook.com so we can make changes.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is an abundance of parking at Briarwood Estate. At arrival, staff will direct you to the grass parking area. The venue entrance is directly connected. We have also arranged for transportation between The Kulshan Hotel and Briarwood Estate. See the shuttle question below for more details.
Will there be a shuttle to/from the venue?
We have arranged for rides between The Kulshan Hotel and Briarwood Estate with Joe’s Joy Rides between 3:30-10:30 PM. He will be driving a Yukon XL that seats up to 6 people at a time. To arrange a pick up, Joe’s contact information will be provided at The Kulshan Hotel.
Are there EV chargers at the hotel?
Yes, The Kulshan Hotel offers six (6) EV charging stations. You will need to download the “Blink” app for use.
What should I wear?
Our dress code is “bold chic”. You’re probably wondering what the heck this means - Visit our “What to Wear” page for full details. Emily had a lot of fun with this part, so please “ooh” and “aah” during your scroll.
Will there be dancing?
There will definitely be an amusing interpretation of it.
What time does the wedding end?
The music and dancing will wrap at 10 PM.
How and when should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP on this very website - look at the top of the screen for navigation. Submit your acceptance or regrets by May 9, 2026.
Are plus-ones and children allowed?
Your plus-one and/or children will be listed on your invitation and RSVP profile. If you feel we left out someone important, let us know, but understand that our limitations may mean our hands are tied.
